God Rewards Faithfulness

God Rewards Faithfulness

By Pastor Chinedu Emmanuel

“And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” 2 Timothy 2:2

God is constantly seeking faithful men to work with; those that can be trusted with eternal treasures, men and women with proven integrity. Regardless of what is committed into their hands whether little or much, in public or in private, recognized by men or not. People who have a solid commitment to truthfulness and honesty.

Here is an example: Acts 6:3 “Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business;” NKJV

God is looking for faithful people who are not motivated by selfishness.  Most people will be faithful if their own personal interest is at stake and as long as there is money and profit to be made. But, as soon as it is another man’s business or there is nothing to gain personally, they become unfaithful. Their faithfulness is for sale as any other thing they do!!! Such people are not motivated by the love of God. It is also likely they do not know God according to the Scriptures. He who does not love does not know God, as it says in the Holy Bible. Love is basically selfless. Love is living for the benefit of another and it is not merited but freely given.

God is looking for faithful men who have proven themselves through faithfulness in another man’s business. You ought to have served for you to be served. The scripture says, if you have not been faithful in what is another man’s then you deserve nothing of your own. God wants to entrust His riches to you so you can be a blessing to others, but He will check if you were faithful in the little He committed to you in the past in dealing with another man’s wife, another man’s daughter, another man’s money, another man’s interest. Were you faithful with your mouth and not destroying people by gossiping, speaking evil, lying, and deceiving others?

Being faithful starts with the people around you. First by being faithful to your spouse and children by spending time teaching and empowering them. The next step Is to be sure to make out time to teach the people God committed into your hands. too.

Some believers fast and pray for special anointing but all they need to do is to be faithful. God will only commit His things into the hands of faithful men. Fasting for empowerment will not work for anyone who isn’t faithful.  People think they can force God to violate His word by afflicting themselves. No one can force God to do anything. The sooner we know this, the better for us. When such people don’t receive the anointing they desire. they resort to manipulations and all manner of things they call ministry, including false prophecies aimed at drawing people and showing off their so-called anointing!!!! God will empower when He commissions but not before that and He only commissions faithful men.

Luke 19:17 “‘Well done!’ the king exclaimed. ‘You are a good servant. You have been faithful with the little I entrusted to you, so you will be governor of ten cities as your reward.’ NLT

When God wants to elevate a person, He checks their faithfulness, especially in little things that were committed into their hands. If they have not proven themselves faithful with the little God gave them, why should God promote them to take charge of more? So .we must deliberately live faithfully daily so God can use us for His glory.
