Psalm 119:105   “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” 

The word of God serves as both our guiding light and a lamp, illuminating the path we should take. This light leads us to the truth, enabling us to understand and embrace it. However, we become oblivious to the truth if we fail to walk in this light. In essence, the light represents God’s truth, while darkness symbolizes ignorance of His truth. Therefore, we find ourselves in darkness when we stray from God’s word. To truly walk in the light, we must diligently follow God’s instructions.

 The word of God must be taught to us in order for us to receive the light. God’s word has to be unveiled to us for us to receive it. Psalm 119:130 says “The entrance of Your words give light; It gives understanding to the simple.” The word first has to be unfolded, then we can receive understanding. It might seem complex, but we have the Holy Spirit to help us understand and interpret it. The word must dwell richly within us.

Psalm 119:105 says “Truth’s shining light guides me in my choices and decisions; the revelation of your word makes my pathway clear”. God speaks directly to us through His Holy Spirit that lives in us. It is important to be able to recognize God’s word and know when He is speaking. Paying attention when God speaks to us is the key to gaining clarity and guidance in every situation. We should even pay attention to the little things we hear from Him. God can minister something in our spirit that seems so simple, DO IT. We might think it’s silly, but we don’t see the correlation or vision that God sees. Something so simple can lead us to more truth if we just obey.

We must be certain that we are always walking in the revelation of GOD’S TRUTH. Not in our own opinions or the things that may seem logical. Every decision we make in this life, God has an opinion about it, which is the truth. We can’t live life through trial and error, instead, we live by knowing God’s truth for everything. Proverbs 29:18 tells us that “when there is no clear prophetic vision, people quickly wander astray. But when you follow the revelation of the word, heaven’s bliss fills your soul”. The key to experiencing heaven’s bliss is to walk in the revelation of God’s word. Without it, we have no clear vision and can easily wander astray.

It’s important to be led into the truth. The Holy Spirit will GUIDE us into all truth. To be guided we have to be attentive, not ignoring anything. We sometimes think that the answer has to come in a certain way. The answer can come in different forms or ways, it may seem strange to those who aren’t walking in the Spirit. Also, sometimes we might be waiting for an answer that God has already given us, but we weren’t listening, so we missed it. That is why it’s so important to know the voice of the Holy Spirit. As we cultivate a deeper relationship with Him, we will know when He’s speaking and leading us.
