Insights on the Book of Galatians Chapter 4

By Pastor Chinedu Emmanuel Galatians 4:10-12 “You are trying to earn favor with God by observing certain days or months or seasons or years. 11I fear for you. Perhaps all my hard work with you was for nothing. 12Dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to live as I do in freedom from these things, for I have become like you […]

The Inadequacy of the Law: Insights from Galatians 3

To summarize, Galatians chapter 3 emphasizes the inadequacy of the law in providing salvation and righteousness for all.  The law was given to reveal and define sin, making us aware of our sinful nature and our need for redemption. The law itself cannot save or make us righteous but it points us to Christ, who fulfilled the requirements of the law and offers salvation through faith. Through Jesus’ death and resurrection, we are set free from the power of sin, we received grace, became slaves of righteousness, and are led by the Spirit of God.

Remember Who You Are

Your identity is who God says you are, as declared in the word of God. It strengthens you and makes you unique. You are marked with the blood of Jesus and are not just a nobody; you are a child of God!

DEVELOPING AND LIVING A SPIRIT-FILLED LIFE

Developing a mature, vibrant Christian life is God’s expectation of every believer. Just like a parent expects their child to grow to maturity and not remain, babies all their lifetime. God expects us to grow spiritually. When we grow and mature spiritually, we can understand God’s purposes better and understand the values of life from God’s point of view and choose them over other values competing for our time and pursuit.
